Job purpose ___________________________________________________________________________________________
The purpose of this position is quite simply to bring marketing and business development skills to both our clients and our team. We operate in a very commercial environment and our customers are driven by growth and results.
- This role is to help build the ramarketing business. To operate in the commercial team and bring new customers into the organisation. We don’t like the word ‘selling’ though. We consult, guide and generally apply a helpful approach to every single person we speak to. We use our industry knowledge and marketing acumen to demonstrate that we are the right fit.
Ultimately, we are looking for someone who has worked in agency environment or within the life sciences industry. Someone who understands marketing and has a passion for people. Someone who is driven by results, progression and team success.
Within the role, you’ll be:
- Managing and advising our B2B pharmaceutical contract service clients on marketing strategy (segmentation, positioning, personas, targeting etc.) and cross-platform marketing including: communications campaigns, research and insight, competitor analysis, trade events and lead generation. Effectively, you’ll be speaking to new clients, understanding their challenge and advising them on what they need to do in marketing to grow their business.
- Work with our internal teams to write new business proposals, respond to RFP’s, gain scope approvals and keep the business aware of pipeline progressions.
- Attend industry networking events and contacting prospects to establish new customer relationships.
Duties & responsibilities

In this role, your duties will include but aren’t limited to…
Business Development
- Manage and frequently communicate with new prospects, acting professionally on behalf of marketing.
- Plan, develop and create new business proposals for new customers.
- Attend industry events and networking initiatives to build relationships in the industry. International travel is a requirement.
- Plan, develop and implement business development activities for ramarketing, including actively seeking new business opportunities and generating meetings for trade events.
- Work with internal teams to support existing customer proposals.
- Work with internal teams to onboard client work and projects.
Marketing
- Work with the internal marketing teams to deliver sales targets, through marketing initiatives.
- Bring fresh thinking, advanced techniques and creativity.
- Collaborate with PR, content and design teams to develop our service offering.
- Support with the review and delivery of monthly reports showing progress and results.
Project/business support
- Liaise with existing customers in a consultative manner.
- Liaise with colleagues, clients and suppliers to drive campaigns/projects forward.
- Help drive internal systems and processes to make ramarketing more efficient, profitable and sustainable.
- Support the career development of junior team members.
Knowledge & learning
- Stay abreast of marketing trends and developments to continually provide a world-class service and the best solutions for our clients’ and our business.
- Constantly build your industry knowledge of the pharmaceutical and life science sector.
- Present interesting findings/developments to clients and internally on a regular basis.
- Contribute innovative ideas using your experience in the industry and look for ways to increase value on client/internal projects.
- Work independently and as part of team.

Commission
As a Commercial Manager you will be entitled to a competitive commission structure that is uncapped. Discretionary profit sharing and quarterly bonuses are also available.
