The role
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to support the growth of our ambitious Research & Strategy team. Research & Strategy is our market research, brand strategy and marketing planning service; it’s a rapidly growing part of our integrated marketing offer and requires a Research and Strategy Manager who possesses a flair for organisation, communication and proactively leading a team. Experience of working within marketing agencies’ is preferred, but not essential.
You will be working closely with our Head of Research & Strategy to ensure that Research & Strategy projects are run as efficiently as possible, world class work is delivered to all stakeholders and you will be instrumental in the success of the department.
Salary Range £30,000 to £35,000
The person
You should be proactive, resourceful and deadline-oriented, demonstrating excellent time management and awareness of market research and marketing strategy. Main responsibilities:
- Running projects from start to finish, ensuring the team has the tools to do their job effectively, as well as delivering world class work to our clients.
- Communicating to the Research & Strategy team about upcoming project deadlines and status updates (both internal and external).
- Working with the Head of Research & Strategy and Account Managers to schedule and conduct in-depth interviews with senior stakeholders (both client internal and its external stakeholders).
- Conducting competitor analysis.
- Synthesising data and writing reports that capture the trends and themes identified in a research project.
- Developing buyer personas based on insight into the target audiences.
- Conducting workshops and presenting to senior stakeholders within the client company.
- Provide support to strategists when it comes to strategic thinking and creation of branding concepts based on insight.
- Liaising with other departments and freelance resources in order to utilise additional skill sets throughout the project.
- Develop marketing strategies and content plans.
- Helping define and refine new ways of working, as required.
- At the forefront of the latest industry trends and keeping track of clients competitor movement and market situations.
Skills and experience
- Strong analytical and coordination/organisational skills
- Self-starter with the ability to take their own initiative
- Attention to detail and exceptional written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative work ethic
- Awareness of market research and brand strategy advantageous
- Solid understanding of marketing disciplines is strongly desired
- Ability to multitask
- Highly efficient with the ability to simplify complex information (strong strategic thinker)
- Strong presentation skills
- Quick decision making skills
- Experience working in a marketing agency is strongly preferred
